Location: Sōunkyō 層雲峡, Kamikawa, Hokkaidō Size: 7.5 x 10 x 1.5 cm Sōunkyō is a stunning gorge located in the town of Kamikawa in Hokkaidō, Japan. Renowned for its dramatic cliffs, lush forests, and scenic waterfalls, it is part of Daisetsuzan National Park, Hokkaidō's largest national park. The gorge stretches approximately 24 kilometers along the Ishikari River and is particularly famous for its vibrant autumn foliage, hot springs (onsen), and winter ice festivals. Popular activities include hiking, nature walks, and soaking in the local hot springs. Tsuko-Tegata is a kind of wooden passport that was used in the Edo Period as an identity card for travelers when passing from region to region. They had been sold a lot in Showa period as mingei type souvenirs all over Japan. It's also a protector for safety and peace for family.
