This unique vintage Tsuko-Tegata is beautifully crafted in the shape of a traditional Japanese geta sandal, featuring a vibrant depiction of Hiroshima's iconic Peace Memorial Park, the A-Bomb Dome, and the Children’s Peace Monument. These visuals are deeply symbolic, capturing both the historical depth and the modern-day message of peace associated with Hiroshima.

In folk beliefs, geta sandal were thought to ward off evil spirits due to the sound they make when walking ("karan-koron"). In some regions, small geta charms or figurines are used as lucky items for safe travel, health, or success.

Decorated with a colorful illustrated scene, this tsuko-tegata is not only a commemorative pass-style tag but also doubles as a functional coin bank, making it a charming blend of tradition and utility. The geta-shaped body has a coin slot on the top, and a removable bottom panel allows for easy access to stored coins.

Size: 8.5 x 13 x 4.5cm
