He learned Zen-style Bodhidharma painting at Kogon-ji Temple and skillfully painted Bodhidharma paintings. Daruma Figure (達磨): Traditionally modeled after Bodhidharma, the founder of Zen Buddhism, Daruma is depicted here with a stern expression and rounded form, hand-drawn in sumi ink with soft shading. This version emphasizes simplicity and spiritual presence, accented by a glowing yellow background to convey wisdom, positivity, and determination.

Inspirational Calligraphy: “Even when things go wrong, accept hardships with joy.” This reflects a Zen mindset of embracing life's challenges with acceptance and gratitude, a common teaching associated with Daruma’s stoic philosophy.
