A vintage set of Japanese clay statues featuring Daikokuten (大黒天) and Benzaiten (弁財天), two of the revered Seven Lucky Gods (七福神, Shichifukujin) in Japanese folklore. (Left) Daikokuten is the god of wealth, prosperity, and good fortune, often associated with commerce and agriculture. He is typically depicted as a cheerful figure carrying a mallet of fortune (uchide no kozuchi) and standing on bales of rice, symbolizing abundance and success. (Right) Benzaiten is the goddess of wisdom, music, and the arts, as well as a protector of water and wealth. She is the only female among the Seven Lucky Gods and is usually portrayed playing a biwa (a traditional Japanese lute), representing creativity and eloquence. These statues have a natural, rustic finish with an earthy texture, giving them an elegant and timeless charm. They are perfect for collectors, those who appreciate Japanese mythology, or anyone seeking symbols of prosperity and artistic inspiration. Size: 5 x 4 x 7 cm
