Traditional vintage Tsugaru Kokeshi, by Hasegawa Tatsuo (1905-1985) as the third son of woodcarver Sasaki Kinsuke of Miyashita, Itadome, Yamagata Village. He first painted kokeshi in 1926, and everyone praised him for his skill in painting and coloring, and he later took on the painting techniques of most of the other Owani craftsmen.
