This is a beautiful small teapot made of Arita-yaki (有田焼) porcelain, a renowned Japanese ceramic tradition from Arita in Saga Prefecture. The teapot features a smooth, deep navy glaze with a refined luster that reflects light subtly. Its elegant side handle, known as a yokode kyūsu (横手急須), is designed for ease of pouring and balance—typical of Japanese teapots used for green tea.

The sticker on the body bears the name 博鵬 (Hakuho), indicating the maker or kiln. The name 博鵬 (Hakuho), often appearing as 博鵬窯 (Hakuho-gama), refers to a kiln or workshop associated with Arita-yaki (有田焼), one of Japan’s most esteemed porcelain traditions originating from Arita in Saga Prefecture.
