Never Used. This atmospheric pair of Japanese tea cups comes from the historic castle town of Hagi, an area deeply associated with traditional Hagi ware ceramics. The cups are finished in a rich dark brown–black glaze with natural flowing effects, creating an organic, kiln-born surface.
Each cup is decorated with bold white calligraphy of Hagi Castle Town. The interiors are smoothly glazed in white, offering a clean contrast and making the cups pleasant and practical for everyday tea use. Subtle undulations in the form provide a comfortable grip, while slight variations between the two cups highlight their handcrafted nature.
As shown in the final close-up photo, one cup has a very small, hairline crack near the rim. The crack is almost invisible, stable, and does not affect the structure or usability of the cup. This minor imperfection has been reflected in the low selling price, making this set an excellent value for collectors or for casual daily use.
