Vintage item, never used. This set of Arita-yaki 有田焼 small plates features the series “野菜絵変り” (“Assorted Vegetable Motifs”), produced by 肥前のうつわ—a line dedicated to celebrating the long ceramic tradition of Hizen (present-day Saga and Nagasaki). The set comes in its original kiribako 桐箱 wooden box, with an enclosed leaflet describing the heritage of Hizen ceramics.
Each plate is crafted in fine white porcelain with a soft sometsuke-style blue rim, decorated at the center with a hand-painted vegetable motif. The designs are simple, warm, and distinctly Japanese, evoking the purity and charm of traditional tableware used in everyday life.
