This is a vintage shikishi card featuring a serene. Two sheep (hitsuji) placed in front of a red ema plaque, tied with a decorative purple cord. In the Japanese zodiac (Jūnishi - 十二支), the sheep represents the eighth year in the 12-year cycle and is associated with traits such as peace, harmony, and family unity.
