Traditional Tsuchiyu kokeshi by Yutaka Inage. Born on February 19, 1929, as the eldest son of Inage Tsunejiro, an office worker in Iizaka, Fukushima Prefecture. He seems to have originally worked as a chef, but since his house was nearby, he went to Kihei and asked to become his apprentice. In May 1972, he became an apprentice to Watanabe Kihei and began training in woodworking. he was asked to try to restore old Sabako dolls, and he was able to reproduce Kin's brushstrokes well, with soft lines and accurate understanding of the subject. He became considered the best Sabako style artist, but from around February 1985, he was hospitalized for treatment due to liver problems, and it is extremely regrettable that he passed away on April 6, 1985, at the young age of 57.
