This folk toy 'Tai Guruma' wheeled wooden fish were made at Kagoshima Shrine the birthplace of the Urashima Taro legend.This shrine is located on the southernmost promontory of the Satsuma Peninsula. The nearby sea is a spawning ground for sea turtles and is also the place where the story of Urashima Taro is widely spread. "Tai-guruma" (Tai-guruma), named after the red sea bream that swallowed Umisachihiko's fishing hook. Children roll it around to play with, and it has also been used as a gift since ancient times.
