Seiju trained under Master Hasegawa, Tatsuo, and drew inspiration from the Tsugaru-style kokeshi tradition. His works were once sold at the Owani Spa in Aomori. Beyond this, little is recorded about him, except that he hailed from Yamagata, a renowned center for kokeshi-making.
