A beautiful vintage Japanese Mishima-style round dobin-mushi teapot, featuring a warm reddish-brown clay body with soft white slip decoration. The piece has a charming rounded form, a small side spout, fitted lid, and a natural bamboo handle secured with copper-colored wire.
The decoration follows the traditional Mishima 三島 style, known for its impressed or carved patterns filled with white slip, creating a gentle contrast against the earthy clay surface. The repeated floral and scroll-like motifs give this piece a rustic yet refined atmosphere, very suitable for Japanese tableware display or tea-related collection.
Although this item has never been used, the clay is quite soft and fragile. Some small chips occurred during transportation, especially around the rim and edges. Please check the photos carefully. These imperfections do not take away from its beautiful vintage character, but they are reflected in the condition.
