CB078 - Vintage Tiger Doreil Clay Bell 招福寅土鈴

CB078 - Vintage Tiger Doreil Clay Bell 招福寅土鈴

This delightful handcrafted tiger-shaped dorei (clay bell) captures the charm and protective spirit traditionally associated with tigers in Japanese folklore. Carefully molded from clay and hand-painted in vibrant yellow with bold black stripes, this adorable tiger features rounded forms, expressive eyes, and a soft red mouth — giving it both a playful and auspicious character.

Tigers have long been regarded in Japan as symbols of courage, strength, and protection, especially against misfortune and illness. Clay bells like this one are often gifted during the Year of the Tiger or used as lucky charms for children and households.

When shaken, the bell produces a gentle, calming chime, typical of traditional dorei, which were once believed to ward off evil spirits.

This tiger bell comes with a braided blue cord for hanging and is accompanied with the original box, making it a perfect gift or collector’s item for lovers of Japanese folk toys (郷土玩具) and zodiac animals.

Size: 8 x 5 x 6cm
