The Tokyo Kokeshi Tomo-no-kai (東京こけし友の会), founded around 1953, is an association of kokeshi collectors, researchers, craftsmen, and enthusiasts dedicated to preserving and studying traditional kokeshi.
Its journal, Kokeshi Techō (こけし手帖), features research on individual makers, their works, exhibitions, obituaries, and collector studies. Many details preserved in older issues are difficult to find online today, making the journal a valuable reference for traditional kokeshi research.
