A vintage miniature oil lamp / lantern, designed as a nostalgic decorative object evoking the atmosphere of old mountain huts, camping trips and traditional outdoor life in Japan.
The lamp features a beautiful amber-coloured glass fuel reservoir, topped with a clear glass chimney and a small metal burner assembly. A black metal frame surrounds the body, while the broad dark shade gives the piece the unmistakable silhouette of a classic portable lantern.
One of its most appealing details is the attached tag reading 「山の想い出」 (Yama no Omoide), meaning “Memories of the Mountains.” The phrase gives the object a particularly nostalgic character, it was created as a souvenir or decorative keepsake associated with mountain travel, hiking lodges or countryside tourism.
