This is the May 2007 issue of Me no Me (目の眼), a long-running Japanese magazine dedicated to antiques, traditional crafts, fine art and collecting. Known for its beautifully illustrated features and thoughtful exploration of Japanese material culture, the magazine offers a fascinating insight into historic objects, craftsmanship and traditional aesthetics.

The main feature of this issue is 「酒器 — 花宵の季節に」 (Sake Vessels – In the Season of Flower-Filled Evenings), celebrating the beauty and variety of traditional Japanese sake utensils. From rustic ceramic sake cups and elegant flasks to carefully arranged drinking vessels, the feature explores how these objects enhance the experience of enjoying sake, particularly during the delicate atmosphere of spring.

The accompanying photographs reveal the close relationship between Japanese ceramics, seasonal cuisine and the art of presentation. One beautifully illustrated section, 「春宴の酒器」 (Sake Vessels for a Spring Banquet), presents a refined arrangement of traditional tableware, seasonal dishes and sake vessels, demonstrating how everyday objects can become expressions of Japanese aesthetic sensibility.

A secondary feature, 「春の骨董フェアへ行こう!」 (Let's Visit the Spring Antiques Fair!), introduces the excitement of discovering and collecting antique objects, offering another perspective on Japan's rich antiques culture.
