It is traditionally associated with the tea master Furuta Oribe (古田織部), whose unconventional aesthetic encouraged bold shapes, asymmetry and inventive decoration.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe bowl has a softly rounded, slightly irregular form with a broad opening and low foot, giving it a comfortable and balanced presence in the hands.
