A lovely set of Japanese kaishi paper (懐紙) made for use in the traditional tea ceremony. Produced by Ogura Kaishi Honpo (小倉懐紙本舗), the packs feature a charming retro floral wrapper decorated with pink, orange and green seasonal flowers.
Kaishi (懐紙) are small sheets of folded paper traditionally carried during chanoyu, the Japanese Way of Tea. They are most commonly used when receiving wagashi and other sweets, but may also serve as a small napkin or for discreetly wiping utensils and fingers during a tea gathering.
