Shunkei-nuri 春慶塗 is known for its transparent amber lacquer, which allows the natural beauty of the wood grain to remain visible beneath the glossy surface. This technique creates a warm golden-brown tone with depth and elegance, different from fully opaque lacquerware. Its simple yet sophisticated appearance reflects the quiet beauty of Japanese craftsmanship.
This set includes a long rectangular chopstick case with lid and two pairs of matching lacquered chopsticks. The rich reddish-brown lacquer has a warm glow, with fine ribbed detailing on the lid and chopsticks that adds texture and refinement.
