A refined vintage Japanese gift presentation set, traditionally used for formal occasions such as weddings, seasonal greetings, tea gatherings, or ceremonial gift exchange. This type of set is known as Daizuki Fukusa 台付袱紗, combining a decorative presentation tray with a fukusa wrapping cloth.
The set includes a deep purple fukusa cloth with an attached inner panel, a red lacquer-style presentation board with gold-tone border, original protective paper sleeve marked 手塗 meaning “hand-painted / hand-finished,” and its original storage box. The strong purple colour gives the piece a dignified and elegant appearance, suitable for displaying envelopes, small gifts, or as a decorative element in a Japanese-inspired interior.
In Japanese etiquette, a fukusa is used to cover or present important gifts and monetary envelopes with respect. The tray or board adds formality and structure, making the presentation more ceremonial and graceful.
As a vintage item, there are visible signs of age and storage. The purple cloth and paper sleeve may show some small stain spots as shown in the photos.
