This striking furoshiki (風呂敷 wrapping cloth) is a beautiful example of ろうけつ染め (rōketsu-zome, wax-resist dyeing), crafted from 100% cotton (綿100％) and presented in its original box.
The design features a bold interplay of deep black and vivid red-orange tones, created through the traditional wax-resist technique that produces distinctive crackle-like lines across the surface. At the center and throughout the cloth are circular motifs containing stylized floral and botanical patterns—each one unique, evoking seasonal plants and natural forms.
